Produce displays from around the world: Istanbul!
So many markets, so many small shops, in this metropolis of 15 million people which spans two continents.
This fellow seems intent on his work. Those oranges come out to about 25c / lb, by the way.
It took maybe 15-20 minutes to walk end to end in this market, which was one part delicious produce and one part cheap clothing.
I don’t know what the green things are, but they sold them everywhere. Some kind of sour plum, I think.
Another night market…most of these shops were open 24 hours, and when passing late at night you’d see the owners outside, sipping tea, chatting with the competition across the street.
