We’re still open!
Yup, that’s right, it’s been a week and we’re still here. We’ve got soy milk, soy yogurt soy ice cream, noodles from several cultures (you can now save yourself a trip to Chinatown for a lot of your favorite goodies), tortillas, medici bread, pocky, spices, and more fruits and veggies than you can shake a stick at. It’s awesome. Well, it’s mostly awesome. Andrew gets up at 4am every day to go get more stuff, so he’s pretty sleepy mostly, and now that I’m back in classes full time, negotiating my time between the store and the library gets a little sticky, but mostly it’s great. We seem to get a lot of business, and generally people seem really happy with both our selection and how much we charge for it. Also, the store looks SO GOOD now that it’s pretty much fully stocked. OHOHOH, we also had an article posted about us in the Chicago Weekly. We’re so excited, and very flattered (though I do find it funny that the author thought Andrew was jittery from being tired; he’s just like that . . . all the time . . .)
So basically, I am so happy that I am pretty much constantly dancing around the store. If you happen to witness this phenomenon, I would kindly request that you not tease me too much, or at least not through too much produce at me (not ours anyway, it’s too good not to eat).
IN CONCLUSION: WE’RE STILL OPEN!!!!!!!!!
